And again... More on Gaming
Okay, so this professor and I here at UGA have this little gaming/video game reading/research group. It is interesting and all, and in that spirit, here are some items that have been posted over the past month or so about gaming and video games.
- The Chivas Regal of board games? from Daniel W. Drezner
- Educational Value of Video Games from Stephen's Web ~ by Stephen Downes
- Online Gaming in Education -- A Process for Creating Simple Interactive Games from Stephen's Web ~ by Stephen Downes
- Video games, adolescents, and development from Stephen's Web ~ by Stephen Downes
- Games, Learning and Society Conference from Stephen's Web ~ by Stephen Downes
- Online Games in Education -- This Year Could be the Big One from Stephen's Web ~ by Stephen Downes
- Video game music: Annoying, dangerous, colorful — or all of the above? from Cognitive Daily
- Games are Good for You? from Remote Access
- Students asked to teach the teachers ... video games from Stephen's Web ~ by Stephen Downes
- Games discussion… from Stephen's Web ~ by Stephen Downes
- Paul Maharg - Simulations, Baudrillard, serious games - Zeugma from Stephen's Web ~ by Stephen Downes ~ OLDaily
These obviously aren't all of the entries that I have seen, as gaming is a hot topic now. Just the ones that caught my attention and that I might want to have access to at a later date for our gaming reading group that we have.
Addendum - No sooner had I posted this entry when the The Learned Man! posted this entry on Gaming For Education which I had to add.
