As a fourth year doctoral candidate, in addition to having completed comprehensive examinations and prospectus and working on the dissertation, my thoughts are also turning towards the job market and securing that first academic position. This purpose of this blog is to chronicle the trials and tribulations of completing my Ph.D. and finding that first job.

Statistics for January

This past month we had 162 visitors, which breaks down to 130 people who probably got here by hitting Blogger's "Next Blog" feature and 32 people who have been here before. This works out to about 5 visitors a day.

Once they got here, the majority of those "Next Blog" people spend less than 5 seconds, however, the next largest group of visitors did stay for 30 seconds to 5 minutes, with five spending more than an hour.

They appear to have found me from all over the place, my own website, Nathan Lowell's and Heather Tillberg's blogs, search engines like Google, MSN, and Technorati, even from AECT.

They have come from the United States, South Africa, Canada, India, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
