As a fourth year doctoral candidate, in addition to having completed comprehensive examinations and prospectus and working on the dissertation, my thoughts are also turning towards the job market and securing that first academic position. This purpose of this blog is to chronicle the trials and tribulations of completing my Ph.D. and finding that first job.

e-Learning Conference at Columbia University in New York

A message from Brendan Remenyi (brendan@academic-conferences.org).

------------------------------------------------

I am a conference co-coordinator for the e-Learning Conference to be held in New York City in June this year.
I am contacting various Education Science/Psychology Faculty and Graduate students, practitioners and other interested parties to tell them about this event.

This is the 2nd International Conference on e-Learning and it will take place at Columbia University in NYC on June 28th & 29th 2007.

Last years Conference was held at the Université du Quebéc à Montréal (UQAM) and it attracted contributions from 20 different countries around the world.

This is where you will find the Conference Home Page .

Although the ‘Call for Papers’ has closed it is my goal to encourage participation by non-presenting delegates.

Our Conferences typically attract an average of 100 participants and as such offer a tremendous opportunity for international personal networking that is often absent from larger events.

In terms of the venue location, I can only quote an old familiar song…New York, New York…so good they named it twice!!

Please contact me if you would like further information.

Best wishes

Brendan

PS I would appreciate your assistance in spreading the word about ICEL-2007 to your fellow Faculty members, Graduate students, practitioners and any other colleagues you may be in contact with.
(we have noticed that some web-serves strip out our the hot links, if you find it doesn’t work for you try directly at http://www.academic-conferences.org/icel/icel2007/icel07-home.htm )

PPS If you would like to be taken off from our Conference notification mail list please reply to me and add Remove in the Subject line.
